Did We Change?

Over the years“, that is a cliche’ for sure! But it has really been years and there is no other better way to start it.

Time has just rolled on like a ball all the way down to the ground from the hill.

Here I’m the ball and the hill represents the people.

And there is the time that smiles at me with a smirk.

The path that stands in between me and the hill is the “Change“.

The ball carried a few stones, leaves and dust with it.

And I consider the stones, leaves and dust as my treasures.

Did we change?

That wasn’t just a poem. It had a story in it. Here, I’m referring “we” as you, me, us, the reader, and anyone whom we can connect to.

Yes we did change. We are bound to change as time goes on. Suddenly, we feel that the things that looked great before, are not great anymore. Mind you! It is just a feeling. And the things that looked awful once looks cool now.

Ah ha…

What has happened to us now. Did we change?

Yes, I think we have changed. Time has a penchant to make us feel that people around us have changed.

But the reality is that we have changed.

It is a good feeling to know that life has really changed. Even my writing has changed over the years. My words have changed. And so is the world.

My feelings have changed. My outlook has changed. My priorities have changed. My life has changed.

When you read this, do you feel that you have changed, when you look back? If so, do comment on…

Failing to Win Someday

Failed? Try Again…
– Anoop ©People and Hearts

See, it’s very simple and it isn’t rocket science. Let me get to the point quickly.

It may be you or me. But most people experience this feeling. Read on…

I’ve tried, I keep trying, I’m still trying, I’ll keep on trying. All I know is that I’ve failed.

I’m trying this ever since I failed.

But I keep telling myself that there is no secret mantras for being successful. But keep trying more.

I’ve become more strong than yesterday. And I’ve seen so many yesterdays. I don’t fear anymore to fail again. Failure is not new to me.

But I want to win someday. And I’ll win someday.

But when will I win?

I don’t have an answer for that. All I know is to keep trying again.

Winds of Change are Essential

When the world around us is changing, we find it unacceptable. Our heart cannot take it easily at the first place. There is an uncertainty that looms around each of us.

In such situations, there is nothing much we could do. But to accept the reality and grind the truth without a denial.

Time is the only healer who could fix any change. Let the time find its own pace to settle things out.

Be prepared and let the winds of change hit us hard. The impact could change us for the better. Winds of change are essential!

Being a Rebel…

Respecting the quote, “What is a rebel? A man who says no”  – (Albert Camus The Rebel), I begin this post.

What does it take to be a rebel? Not everyone is a rebel. But anyone can be a rebel at some point of time. ‘A Rebel’, this has nothing to do with the constitution, authority or government. This is purely based on a common man’s daily life.

The art of saying ‘No’ is called Rebellion. It is an art that one must master to be a rebel.

The world that we live in is following a predefined customs and practices since ages. If a person followed something in his life, his son would follow the same it in his life. They call it custom and it is their duty to follow it. And people will blindly perform that custom without reasoning. If someone questions that practice so as to ‘why should I’, then he is considered a rebel. He the one who questions and admits that he can’t do that, is deemed as a rebel forever. The whole group looks at him as an adamant idiot and loser.

What is wrong in being a rebel? One stands out from the entire group by being a rebel. When you turn back, the whole world is against you. You need courage to say no. You need to believe in your thoughts and views in order to be a rebel. You have to stand firm on your decisions even when no one is supporting you.

Rebels are born from within, not created.

The changes in the history are created when a rebel is born and a rebellion is born. That is how life takes its shape to a better world.

I’m a rebel in many ways. I don’t pray, I don’t worship any God but visit temples, churches and mosques. Then people ask me, “Why are you not praying? I reply them, “Why should I pray”! And why are they bothered about me if I pray or not. And in return, I never ask people why they pray. So I too expect them not to poke their nose into my ways. As simple as that.

I learned  to reason and say no to the things that I feel its wrong. It took me years to reason and say confidently even to my parents that I don’t like something. I love to be a rebel in certain ways. I listen to what my heart and mind says. If I don’t like something I will not do it and say that I don’t like it. Well, I’ve the freedom to live my life the way I wish to.

The Positive Shield

I’m surrounded by a shield that reflects a positive energy. When I look at the skies, I could feel the positive rays falling on me. There are positive vibrations around me. A positive feeling is settling inside my heart and mind. There is a hope that is coming out of nowhere.

I’m feeling relaxed and happy. This is happening for the first time in my life. There is this Positive Shield that is taking me forward. I wonder how did this shield appear all of a sudden in the last two days. I feel this embarks the arrival of a new change in my life. The positive change.

A totally different kind of feeling that I’m experiencing – first of its kind.

Letting the Moment to Pass

Letting the moment to pass.

It sounds so easy to read the above line. Sounds so easy! But at times, it is the most difficult thing to do.

To let the moment to pass. When you have no control of your thoughts and heart, it is not so easy to let this moment pass by. But you have to let the moment pass by as there is no other go.

It is like tying your legs to a tree and asking you to run,

It is like tying your thoughts to a tree and asking you think,

It is like tying your emotions to a tree and asking you to react,

It is like tying your words to a tree and asking you to speak.

It is like tying your Anoop

It Begins from Where you Think it Ends…

There are certain moments in life which redefine life all over again.

Just when you think, it is all over,
Just where you think, you’ve left everything,
Just when you lose all hopes in your self,
Just when the people around you lose hopes in you,
Just when things don’t happen the way you expected,

That’s where you declare it is the end,

Unknowingly from nowhere, it creeps up from somewhere,
The complexities and unpredictability of life shows you
That everything has not ended.
There comes the redefining moment, the new beginning…

It doesn’t matter how far you have traveled or how quick you reached there, what matters is the journey, which makes it worthwhile.
